Boy Scouts Contribute to FOM Youth
The recent barbeque fundraiser held by Fishers' Boy Scout troop was a huge success. The troop sold over $12,000 of briskets and ribs with almost half of those sales coming from FOM members. The troop committed to tithe 10% of their profits, which resulted in a contribution from the scouts to FOM of $423.10. This money will be directed to be used by the FOM youth in their mini-mission trip to League City where they will build Homes4Haiti. Thanks Boy Scouts!

CHILDREN DONATE OFFERING TO HELP HAITI
Kingdom Quest will be donating our offerings from January and February to help the children in Haiti recover from the devasting earthquake. We present our offerings every Sunday during our large group opening.
The Kindgom Quest Kids generously donated $221.25 to help the children of Haiti.

19 Stephen Ministers to be Commissioned This Week!
Next Sunday at both services we will commission our new Stephen Ministers. These very gifted people will begin in our congregation the gift of caring ministry to those who are grieving or otherwise in need. They have answered a special call to use their gifts to follow in Jesus’ caring footsteps. As we commission these new Stephen Ministers next Sunday, let us celebrate the completion of their training for this ministry and thank God for their generous response to his call, keeping the success of their ministry always in our prayers.

We would like to invite you to discover more about our God, Fishers of Men Lutheran Church, and maybe more about yourself. For three Thursday evenings, February 18, 25 and March 4th, we will be offering our next Discovery Classes upstairs in room 208. These sessions help us learn how we strive to live in a faith relationship with God, as individuals, and as His church family.
For those that have been worshiping with us, are members of a sister Lutheran Church and wish to transfer membership, please come to the class on Thursday, March 4th. Staffed childcare will be provided. Register for the class by calling the church office, 281-242-7711 or rsvp@fishersofmen.org. Please indicate if childcare is needed.
